The Story: Aaron began doing pull-ups as a kid on terrace rods and later improved his numbers by training in a local park. After building strength and endurance, he explored one-finger pull-ups and repeatedly failed in the early phase. He experimented with chalk support, studied existing strength benchmarks, and found the +20kg one-finger world mark of 9 reps. Determined to challenge that number, he requested ankle weights as a birthday gift and built a long training cycle around finger conditioning, weighted hangs, controlled pulling mechanics, and recovery blocks. Because finger skin and connective tissue repeatedly tore under high load, he had to schedule strategic rest and rebuild phases. After 2-3 years of disciplined training, he executed 14 reps within 30 seconds, surpassing the previous record by 5 reps.

Attempt: He achieved the official record in his first judged attempt, after nearly three years of focused preparation and progressive overload work.

Reaction: Aaron described this as a dream-come-true moment. He said the joy was beyond words and that years of pain, setbacks, and persistence finally paid off. His family and friends celebrated the achievement with him, making it one of the most unforgettable moments of his life.
